   Research Interests     back to top

My research questions revolve around my core interest in conservation biology. My main objective as a scientist is to understand the origin and maintenance of biological diversity, and how anthropogenic changes in the physical, biological, and chemical environment affect communities. For my dissertation, I focused on the effects of a single insecticide, carbaryl, and examined how it's impact on the amphibian community changed in the presence of other natural stressors like predation, competition, and pond drying. For more information about my current research, please see: http://www.users.muohio.edu/boonemd/.
