TWO more days...weather is supposed to be nice in Mid-MO so despite the fact that we are looking at a Wednesday night Halloween maybe, just maybe, we'll have a decent turn out for trick-or-treating.

Unfortunately the weather sucked this weekend so that we didn't make our annual trip to Hartsburg for the Pumpkin Festival. I did however get a few more pumpkins at Hy-Vee and did a couple more carvings (here).

Here's another pumpkin creation (carved night 11 Oct). Tomorrow is the annual venture to Hartsburg for the Pumpkin Festival - let's hope the weather cooperates, I need a few more decent pumpkins!

Also added some flowers to my graveyard to 'spruce' it up a bit - you know mourners have visited recently kind of thing.

First UPDATE of this season. Weather has finally broken in mid-MO - it's been cool the past three mornings (low-50's) so it's finally feeling like "that time of the year". For a while I thought the 90+(F) temps would stick around and completely spoil all mood of the season. So what's new in the Land of the dead (aka, Liscum House of Horrors)?
The graveyard (version I) has been up for about a two weeks. I'm adding some new stuff this year - keep your eyes on this page for updates in that regard.
Carved the first pumpkin of 2007 (9 Oct). It's an homage to The Omen (the original classic not the lackluster remake) - see it here.
