Research
Dana is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Fisheries & Wildlife Sciences and Program Coordinator for Mizzou Tigers for Tigers, the university’s conservation organization working to protect tigers in the wild.
For her dissertation, Dana studied the effects of forest fragmentation and nest predation on body condition and reproductive output of Indigo Buntings, using mass corrected for structural size and stress hormone (plasma corticosterone) levels. She also analyzed blood samples for paternity and to determine if offspring sex ratios vary with maternal condition or landscape fragmentation.
