Research

My research looks at the effects of habitat fragmentation on season long fecundity of Neotropical migrant forest birds. Previous studies have shown that contiguous forests are sources and smaller fragments are sinks for many of these species, but I believe that our estimates in both habitats are poor and seek to refine the way we model annual fecundity for forest birds.

Previous Research

I looked at how the encroachment of vineyards into oak woodlands affected the breeding oak woodland bird community in Sonoma and Napa counties, California. This research was a partnership primarily between PRBO Conservation Science and The Nature Conservancy. I was the project supervisor for this two-year study.
