Research
My research focuses on various facets of vertebrate choice behavior, in particular space use and resource selection, and how such behavior is associated with anthropogenic and environmental conditions at multiple scales. Central in my efforts is the integration of field, GIS, and statistical methods to obtain knowledge that will aid in addressing important conservation issues.
Currently my research spans multiple taxa and topics, including: nesting ecology of black-backed woodpeckers in the Black Hills, South Dakota; white-tailed deer movements and space use in urban environments; and space use and habitat selection of Missouri River sturgeon species.
